HOME - EXTRA CURRICULUM - TOURS

For many years now the Students of St. Eunan's have been taken to many international destinations for their school tour. Many of these early tours have very little pictorial records as they pre date the digital age. If any one has pictures or snippets of these early events please feel free to contact the College to post them on the web site!!

Mr. Hugh Duffy, Mr. Seamus Coyle, Mr. Paddy Tunney, Mr. Jim Toland organised many of these foreign expeditions, while in the latter years the tours were organised by Mr. Neil Gordon.

In St. Eunan's College school tours are organised regularly for the students in order to broaden their horizons and enable them to experience different cultures and activities. Mr. Hugh Duffy (retired), Mr. Seamus Coyle, Mr Jim Toland, Mr. Paddy Tunney, Mr. Neil Gordon and Mr. Andrew Doherty have all organised tours to diverse venues in the past.

The ancient Civilisation of Rome, the highlights and lowlights of London and Paris, Theme parks such as Eurodisney and activity breaks such as skiing in Andorra and Italy have been the favoured and most popular destinations. On the following pages we hope to give you all an insight to the various tours that have departed from the hallowed halls of St. Eunan's. If anyone has any pictures of reports on any of the above tours or on any that we have not published please contact us here, as it will help us create a more comprehensive site.

This section of the site will be divided into a number of sections to begin with. There will be a section that will deal with all the tours from the 1980's and earlier. The next section will deal with all the tours from 1990 up to the start of the new millennium.

As more information and pictures (no matter how embarrassing) become available we will hopefully have a section on the 1980's and the 1970's. So get searching you may have a photograph of someone in your year that is less than flattering and someone somewhere would love to see it. Post a copy of the picture to the college here in Letterkenny (the address is still the same!!).
