Academic Behaviour and Attitude
Every student is to work to the best of his ability.

• The school recognises the many different talents and types of intelligence in its students. Students have different abilities.
• All students must work to the best of their ability. Students are expected to be attentive in class and use the time to learn with the help of their teachers.
• Books, pens, copy books, are essential for class. Students who do not bring these materials to class are disrupting class and damaging their own prospects for success in the future.
• Students must bring necessary books and materials to class and produce homework when required.

6 Property

Students must respect all property belonging to fellow students, staff and college.

• Students must endeavour to create and maintain a litter-free environment.
Chewing gum is forbidden.
• Eating is permitted only in designated areas i.e. the College Canteens, the General Purpose Area and round the grounds.
• Restitution must be made for any damage done to college property accidentally or otherwise.

7 Lockers and Toilet Facilities

• Students may have access to lockers from 8.40am, at morning break, lunch time and after last class of the day.
• Lockers must not be used between class and only in cases of emergency with the permission of the President or Deputy Principal. Senior students must use the outside toilets alongside the Science Block while Junior students use the toilets up from the GPA
• Toilets are available between each class (except between classes 8 and 9) and at the breaks.

8 Care for possessions

Students should keep a close eye on their money and possessions. The College does not accept responsibility for money or possessions lost on the premises.

9 School journal and prescribed notes

• Junior students must have an official school journal in which to record daily homework, notes 2nd Year Junoir House Awards 2005 from home and communication between home and school generally.

• Senior students must have the Career Guidance journal and the senior note pad for all notes of absence, lateness, uniform and permission to leave school.
• The official journal or senior note pad must be replaced if lost or mislaid.
Students are reminded that notes not written on prescribed notes in the journal or on the senior note pad will not be accepted.

10 Expressly forbidden activity

The following are strictly forbidden both within the school and at school related events

(a) Distribution, use, possession or selling of, alcohol, solvents and or drugs
(b) Misbehaviour on school campus or outside school grounds
(c) Disrespect to college staff in school or outside school grounds
The Board of Management and President may add to the list of unacceptable activity as need arises
by posting on the notice board, e.g. snow balling, water balloons, catapults, firecrackers etc.
