Rurai Finnegan takes 1st place

12 February 2009
The buzz in the College at the moment is the whole school inspection taking place the week after mid term. All staff are busy preparing for the Department inspectors.
This week sees the continuation of the Mock Junior and Leaving Cert. exams. The students are getting very tired and are beginning to look forward to their mid term break.
Congratulations to Michael Murphy
Michael has been working very hard both academically and physically to overcome an injury. He has just finished his mock leaving cert. exams here in St. Eunan's. We are delighted to see him back playing Gaelic Football. Michael played on Wednesday for the U21 County Team and had a great game scoring 8 points. The pundits reckon he is playing better than ever. He has been named for the starting County Senior Team on Saturday against Mayo in O'Donnell Park. Best wishes to Michael from all the College Staff and students.
We are also waiting to see if one of our present staff and past pupils will return to the field for the Senior County Team on Saturday. Mr. Colm mc Fadden has been injured for the past few months but the Creeslough air and hills seem to be working their magic. We look forward to the Mc Fadden and Murphy combination in the Donegal forward line on Saturday. Best wishes to them both.
County Maths Champions 2009
Congratulations to the lads and to Mr Harvey and Dr. Finnegan

What a wonderful achievement! These fine young Eunan's men went to do battle with 28 teams from all over the County to claim victory as the best team of mathamaticians in the County. In a very close final round they held their nerve and came out clear winners. Congratulations to the lads and to their teachers who have put much effort into transforming these young brains into high powered human calculators. The lads head off to represent St. Eunans and the County of Donegal in the all Ireland Finals to be held in Cork on April the 7th. Good Luck and well done. Have a great weekend.
