St Eunan's College launch the New Admission Policy for 2011 -2012
In the past the school operated a completely open enrolment policy and accepted every boy who wished to attend the college. At present our enrolment is 838 and set to rise to over 900 for the academic year 2010/2011. This upward trend is set to continue for the foreseeable future resulting in more applications then can safely be accommodated in the College Campus as it is at present.
Accordingly the Board of Management has taken the decision to limit future enrolment in the college to ensure the health safety of staff and students. ( See the New Admission Policy which is located unter the downloads icon)

Thursday 6th May 2010 for school year 2011-2012
( i.e current 5th class boys)
6.00 p.m. Parents/ Guardians of pupils attending Scoil Cholmcille, Letterkenny only
7.00 p.m. Parents/Guardians of Pupils from all other national schools.
Friday 7th May:-
St Eunan's School Concert will be held in An Grianan Theatre. Tickets are €10 each with a family ticket of €25 available at the Box office - Proceeds in aid of the Music Department.

The Parents' Association draw took place today Friday 18th. Congratulations to the following winners:-

Well with Christmas coming we are all very busy here getting ready for our house exams. 5th, 2nd & 1st year exams commence on Thursday 17th . Please keep an eye on the notice board for the Timetable of events. We have our Annual Christmas Carol Service this Tuesday 15th in the College Chapel at 7.00pm. All students and Parents are welcome. We have the under 14 ½ Soccer V’s Gweedore on Wednesday 16th and also on Wednesday we have our 1st Yr soccer team who play against Milford. The bus departs at 9.00a.m.
On
Friday 13th November we had our Senior Award Ceremony. We had a large tourout of Parents and students with plenty of our past students making a welcome return. Fr Carney was our guest of honour and he had some great advice for the boys. Fr Laverty, Chairman of the BOM was also in attendance together with Mr Chris Darby our principal and Mrs Rena O'Herlihy ( Deputy Principal). It was a great occasion with Darren McBrearty receiving sportsman of the year. Keith Carron received the Senior Student of the Year. We had Colm Green receive 5th Yr student of the year and Mark McCrossan and Ciaran Cannon who received the Transition Yr student of the year. Photographs will be available shortly in our Gallery.
As part of
positive ageing week some people from Cara house came to speak to our students about the values of keeping active as you grow older. They met with most classes throughout the week. The students found this talk very beneficial and related well to the speakers. ( Photographs to follow)
Tuesday evening seen the
AGM of the Parents' Association. A good turn out of parents gathered for the information night and a number of parents were nominated onto the Parents' Association.
Mr Damien Crawford was nominated from the Parents' Committee to represent the Parents on to the Board of Management. A big thank you to Justin Dunleavy ( Our head boy) and his team of Deputy prefects who helped out on the night. Their hard work was very much appreciated.
Our 1st and 6th Year pupils had their photographs taken - they should be sent home within a few weeks.
On
Thursday 8th October - Mr Harvey took his
Golf team off to Portsalon. They got a really terrific day. St Eunan's College won the 1st round in the Derryveagh Crystal Golf Championship with Finian O'Doherty (Captain) went round in level par 72 to take 1st place in the individual section by 6 shots. The team also won 1st place. - So well done to all concerned.
Thursday also seen the
U-19 Basketball team have a comprehensive win against Sligo Grammar school with a 72 - 38 victory. Aodhan Hickey, (team captain) led by example from the start of the game. Aodhán scored 40 points in the match, and also set up his team mates for many of the scores. This team now look forward to their next match which is the second round of the cup championship and meet St Patrick's Grammar School, Dungannon. Well done lads.
Friday 9th October - We had Jersey Day where students wore their football Jerseys to school (organised by the LCA Student) a total of €1,414.00 was collected in aid of GOAL. So well done to all concerned it was a great success.

Tuesday 13th - Operation Christmas Child will commence with speakers in to talk to classes on Tuesday ( 2 - 4p.m ) and Wednesday14th ( 11 - 1p.m.)
Garda G Davenport will speak to all 2nd year students on Tuesday afternoon with regard to safety on the lead up to halloween.
Wednesday 14th October- The Senior Gaelic challenge match will take place at 4.00p.m. against St Marys, Magherafelt.
Thursday 15th Oct - Senior Basketball v's St Pats, Dungannon.( Good Luck lads)
Friday 16th Oct. - St Declans GCSE go to Garten with Mr McDaid
