Sean McEwen 87-92
St Eunan's College's first recipient of an Ulster Colleges All Star Award, when in 1992 he was honoured at Left-Corner Back. From his first year in the School it was clear to all that Sean had great physique, speed tremendous dedication, enthusiasm and a desire to achieve success. The latter two qualities were evident in his academic studies also. He excelled at U-14 level with his local club St. Eunan's where he won "Man of the Match" in the County Final in '89. The following year as a third year student he represented the College on the McLarnon Cup team, which lost to St. Patricks Downpatrick.
In '91 both he and De La Salle Ballyshannon's Donal Buggy represented the Ulster Schools in Scotstown against the might of the Aussie Rules international Schools Team. In Leaving Cert. year Sean captained the senior Team and was undisputedly the best Corner Back in Ulster that year.
Sean has represented Donegal at Minor, U-21 and Senior Level (debut in '96) and currently Tipperary, where he works as an electrical engineer in Clonmel. Sean also represented Queen's University, Belfast in the Sigerson Cup.
