Hugh Brendan Kerr

Hugh Kerr was a student in St. Eunan's from 1992-1998. He represented his club, Termon at all levels and played four years on the College's Senior Team. Hugh Brendan was our second All Star when he was honoured at Left-Corner Back also, in 1998. Hugh (a nephew of Dr. James McDaid T.D. & Minister for Tourism & Sport) had always been a prominent footballer in his time at St. Eunan's, winning Gaelic Footballer of the year from 1st year to 6th year. From '94-98 he was a member of the Senior Gaelic Team at either Right-Corner or Left-Corner Back. He too, like McEwen experienced the heartbreak of defeat when a highly fancied St. Eunan's team (containing 7 of the Ulster Minor Championship winning Panel) lost to De La Salle College Ballyshannon in 1996 in the McLarnon Cup Final.

Hugh is a perfectionist on the football pitch, as he is in all other endeavours, his marking skills and his anticipation made observers in the Ulster Colleges wonder why he had not found favour with the Donegal County Minor selectors. Hugh is currently a student at the Galway Institute of Technology.

Hugh has represented the Galway Institute of Technology in the Seigerson Cup this year and also played Freshers Football for the Institute. Hugh is also a qualified life guard illustrating his physical condition and fitness.
