HOME - CURRICULUM - FIRST YEAR

In-coming first years are required to take all core subjects which are:

Religion, Irish, English, Maths, History, Geography, Science, Business Studies,C.S.P.E.,Advisory, Physical Education and Computers.

The Choice subjects are: French, German, Music, Art, Technical Graphics and Material Technology Wood.

It is recommended that all students take a modern language for Junior Cert.

First year students are taken into the College for an orientation day on their own to get used to the building and grounds. At the end of the first month all parents of first years are invited into the College where they meet with staf and any issues that may arise can be dealt with early so as to ease the transition from primary school to the second Level.

Lockers are distributed to the new students with lower level lockers allowing easy access to their books.
