HOME - EXTRA CURRICULUM - EXCHANGES

For many years now the students of the College have had the oppertunity to go on educational language exchanges to schools in both Austria and France. These exchanges are organised by the French and German Teachers. Every year there is great interest in these exchange visits.

Mrs. Margaret McCarthy and Mr. Paddy Tunney have organised the most recent French exchanges while Mr. Jim Toland has also organised trips to France. The German Teachers Mrs. Joan Murphy and Ms. Mary Burke have organised regular exchange visits with a school in Austria.

The students visit their new schools and are hosted by a student and his/her family for the duration of the stay. They attend classes and learn what it is like to attend school in another country. The host student is then taken back to Ireland where they attend class in St. Eunan's and stay with the student family they hosted.
