Best of Luck to our Senior Basketball team who play in the All Ireland Final today in the National Basket Ball arena.

Back after the Christmas and the snow. The U14 Gaelic Team are Training again Thursday 28th after school. 
Playing the Quarter Final next Tuesday against Knock in Derry. Venue to be set yet.

The U14 Loch an Iuir Team play Keady on Wed next in Omagh, Bus Leaving The College at 11:00. Team sheet will be on the board in the morning before first class.
The Colege have topped their group with a final game to spare. However the winning habbit is very important and big games from all the players wil be needed.

The lads have played well in the games to date but have not hit top gear just yet. Missing some easy scores should have put many of the games to rest is a topic which we will hope to rectify. 
Conor O'Donnell, Oisin Carr, Paddy Doherty and Aaron Diver have performed well with Jason Quinn in nets. Conor Morrison, Conal O'Boyle, Tadgh Hickey and David Tyrell who are all 1st Years have given the team a great boost. Sean Patton and Matthew curley in the middle of the park have been boosted with the return of Ryan McConnel who had the influential bearing on the Rathmore game in Belfast 2 weeks ago.
The forwards are getting plenty of chances but not clinical enough - a good sign that we can win games and still have room for progress.
Daire McDaid, Darragh McCarry, Jordan McBride, Oisin Shields, Daniel Clarke, Daniel Gillespie, Joe Gallagher, Sean Hume, Christy Flannagan and Ryan Toner and Dale Gorman are all fighting for the starting slots in attack
Dale Gorman - son of former college Great Anthony Gorman - scored a goal last time out with a spectacular diving header. Not too many of them scored in this code but they all count.

Plenty of water and rest for the last group game

All the members of the Loch an iuir squad are to bring their tracksuits and gear for the game away to rathmore tomorrow. A packed lunch is also needed.

The last two outing were pretty good with the players all giving me lots of problems with some good performances.

I just want to congratulate Past Pupil and College Footballer Michael Murphy (picture at bottom of page after winning the 2007 MacLarnon) on his recent award as Young Footballer of the Year.

This is a well deserved award on the back of some imperious displays during the Summer for Donegal. We hope that Michael will drop back to the College soon so we can all congratulate him (and he might take Sean Hume, Daniel Clarke and Darragh McDaid for a few free taking lessons!!)

Still a number of photos as well as height, weight and shoe size's to be left in to me for the ski trip.

Also a small reminder that the final payment for the trip is due in on or before the last day of term on 23rd Oct.

For all the students going on the ski trip to America the next installment of the money is due in by this Friday 18th. Also you must bring in 4 passport photographs along with your Height in Cm's, Weight in Kg's and shoe size UK and European.
It is very important that this deadline is met so get on down to Room 2.

4 Passport photographs from all the boys going skiing to the USA and a quick reminder to bring in the next installment ASAP!  :-)

Yesterday 170 new first year students entered the college and we hope that they all had a good day. It will take a wee while to get to know the way around and remember that help is always there with the prefects and staff.

If any of my geog class from 5th year are on line then you will be glad to know that ye kick off the year with me!!

Into the last week of the holidays now and it is time to get the bags and books out again. The holidays flew past and so will the school year.

Just a little note to all the boys going on the ski trip to make sure that they have a proper passport for entry to the USA. 

2 passport size pictures and height, weight and shoe size are needed in the first couple of weeks back. So get the stuff together and in to me.

 The loch an Iuir Competition starts early in the year so all the U14's will hit the pich in September to go one step beyond last year.
